EVÜS has been a non-profit association uniting vet students operating in Tartu since the spring of 2013. The purpose of the Society’s activities is to introduce and develop the teaching and research activities of students in the field of veterinary medicine and to establish links with other professional natural and legal persons.
By offering vet students a variety of opportunities for diverse development, self-realization and spirited student years, we hope to contribute to the improvement of their skills. With the activities of our society, we wish to complement academic learning with various exciting outputs, to promote animal health care, keeping culture and welfare, and also to stand up for good public health. In addition, we want to raise awareness among people about the role of veterinary medicine in society. We also want to develop cross-disciplinary cooperation both in Estonia and abroad.
All veterinary medicine students who wish to apply themselves and get to know interesting people are welcome to join us. In order to receive an application for joining, you must contact a member of the management board.
Our activities are carried out by five different panels: the marketing and communication committee, the human resources committee, the sponsorship relations committee, the education committee and the internal communication committee.
The society’s room is located on the campus of the Estonian University of Life Sciences in the Zoomeedikum study building (Kreutzwaldi 62) on the ground floor of the A corps in room 104B. Estonian Landscape Architecture Students’ Association (EMÜS) is a non-profit association founded in 1999. The society unites Estonian landscape architecture students who have the opportunity to have a say in the promotion of their speciality and offer opportunities to practice what they have learned outside the university.
We involve students in university life by organizing professional lectures – workshops, relieving tension with various style parties and helping to settle into the university and specialty in the first year. In April, we celebrate World Landscape Architecture Month, where we organize a series of events and lectures every year. We operate all year round.
Despite the fact that we are a professional association, students from other countries are also welcome to join. The main thing is to show interest!
Useful knowledge and valuable memories of the time of the university. Feel free to join!

The Estonian Forest Students' Society (EMEÜS) was founded in 1989. Its aim is to bring together active students of forestry and woodworking technology. EMEÜS also acts as a link between students of forestry and the practical forestry sector. In addition to providing useful professional contacts and acquaintances (members of the association may turn out to be future business partners, employers, colleagues, etc.), the association provides its members with job and internship opportunities and study information. The general broadening of horizons and entertainment are also important in the life of the Society. It also cooperates closely with the private and national forestry sector and is active at international level, being a member of the International Forestry Students' Association (IFSA), which in turn opens up the opportunity to participate in various international forestry student conferences and meetings. In addition, annual meetings are held with the Joensuu Forestry Students' Association in Finland.
Environmental Protection Students’ Society (EMÜ KÜS) was established on March 19, 2001, being already more than ten years old. As a professional association, our members were originally only students of landscape protection and maintenance, but since 2005, KÜS brings together all EEC students who are interested in environmental protection and their own development in this field.
We organize hikes, workshops, social and film evenings together, we also participate in various trainings, information days and cooperate with other societies. You can become a member of us throughout the academic year, those interested can contact us at any time or wait until the night of acquaintance.

The Association of Civil Engineering Students (ETS) is an association of civil engineering and water management students, founded on 26 August 1998. The members of ETS are students, alumni, lecturers and other interested parties. The aim of the association is the professional development and representation of civil engineering students in their relations with universities, construction companies and other organisations. We also consider it important to establish long-term friendships that help young professionals to integrate into the world of work and to build up trustworthy contacts in order to set and achieve their professional goals.
In the past, we have visited construction sites several times a year, held meetings several times a month, never missed a drunk, organised film nights, never missed a construction trade fair, and organised specialist lectures to keep young people up to date with world affairs. We are now trying to revive all the old traditions and stick to them.

HISTORY:
The EMÜ Society of Economics Students got its start one November evening while researching the spring marketing activities of the EMÜ MSI with freshmen.
The question arose as to why there is no practical outlet if what is studied at the institute is of a wide spectrum and would certainly find practical application. The first ideas were thrown into the air. The first gatherings began, where they discussed how to motivate students to participate in the activities of the Society, and the first activities and areas of responsibility were established. The date of birth of the Society can be considered to be February 6, 2018, when real work began for the first time.
WHY? - Internships are very important in economics education, and it would be a good idea to implement what is being studied in auditoriums immediately.
TO WHOM? - For economics students interested in internships.
WHAT DO WE DO? - We are currently developing the society, analyzing social media channels and giving it content. We also plan to expand our activities into business. With the Society of Economics Students, we have participated in the study of food prices in cooperation with Latvia and Lithuania and have had the opportunity to be part of the organizing team of conferences organized in the EMÜ. Our institute is interested in continuing to involve students in research.
How To Join? - Come and study at the EMÜ Institute of Economics and Social Sciences. Information about our Society can be obtained from tutors!

Hyraco is an equine veterinary student association that was founded in 2023. Our main goals are to enhance interest in equine veterinary, provide opportunities to dive deeper into this field and create a community of like-minded people, where everyone can be sure to get support.
Hyraco offers various exclusive lectures and practicals with local and international specialists, that are available for non-members as well. In collaboration with EMÜ equine clinic we create an opportunity for you to do first steps in this field by volunteering in our clinic, where you will get a ton of “hands-on” experience.
People with any background are expected in our association – does not matter if you have grown up with horses or just want to meet these magnificent animals for the first time. We are doing everything to make sure that everyone in our community can feel equal and can fulfil their curiosity. We are also always open for any feedback and proposals from our members and seek for supporters and sponsors who are willing to help us on this journey!

The Association of Finnish Veterinary Students in Estonia (Suolet ry) acts as a liaison for Finnish students studying veterinary medicine in Estonia, promoting their academic and professional interests while fostering collegial unity. The association organizes diverse activities, including meetings, training sessions, events, and leisure activities, to support members and enhance their studies. Regular statutory meetings are held, with additional gatherings as needed, and members are encouraged to participate actively. The board, elected annually, manages operations, ensures smooth transitions, and prioritizes effective communication within the community. Suolet ry emphasizes financial stability through membership fees, grants, and collaborations with industry partners. Training events are held throughout the year in partnership with professionals and companies, alongside tutoring for new students and informational sessions. Advocacy is central, with representatives liaising with the university to address student concerns and improve facilities. The association maintains an active online presence through social media and its website, ensuring clear communication with members. Events include freshers’ activities, annual celebrations, and joint gatherings with other organizations, fostering a sense of community. Suolet ry also collaborates with various Finnish and international veterinary organizations, ensuring members benefit from networking, educational opportunities, and professional development.
TOTETS, or the Food Technology Students' Association, was founded in May 2024 with 17 students present at the inaugural meeting to decide on the name, elect the board and approve the constitution. The formation of the society was preceded by discussions with active students and maximum involvement of all to make student life more exciting. The department and the EMÜ in general were supportive of the creation of the society, contributing with advice and support.
The aim of the society is to provide its members and other food technology students with professional networking and support to help them adjust to the academic world. The Society shares professional information, organises company visits and training, and hosts cultural and sporting events. One of the most important traditions of the society is the organisation of the Christmas Gala, where faculty, students and alumni have the opportunity to meet in good company at the end of the year. Recognitions are given and the past year is remembered.
TOTETS wants to invite inspiring guests to speak to its members, and organise social events such as memory game nights and communal cookery evenings. The aim is to create a strong bond between students, alumni and lecturers, which will enliven school life and make professional studies even more interesting.
Membership is open to all food technology students and alumni who share the aims and values of TOTETS.
