FOXFEST is an annual introduction event for new students organised by the Estonian University of Life Sciences Student Union. FOXFEST is recommended for all new students, as it is a great way to get acquainted with your course mates and other students. It is a great way to get to know the university structure and campus, get some initial tips on how to use the ÕIS and generally get ready for the school year. Apart from all the essentials, there will be dancing and raging in the evening, as one of the integral parts of FOXFEST is the Metsamaja party, where new and old students meet!
International Day of University Sports (IDUS) is celebrated worldwide on 20 September. In Estonia, activities related to IDUS are coordinated by the Estonian Academic Sports Union in cooperation with its member schools and their sports clubs.
IDUS Day is also celebrated on the weekdays before and after 20 September. This year (2024) IDUS Day took place on 18 September.
YLIPALL is the first of a three-part series of events organised by YLISPORT (YLIPALL, Students' Winter and Summer Games), a sporting-entertainment competition for students between universities and colleges. At the end of the series of events, an activity and results cup will be awarded to the best university or college. Awards will be given to the top teams in each discipline.
The event will be organised by the Estonian Academic Sports League (EASL) team of the Ylisports team. Their aim is to increase the number of sporty and active students and thereby improve the overall health and quality of life of young people.
The Winter Games are a three-day winter intercollegiate athletic competition where all possible winter sports are performed in all weathers. There are activities for all levels - everyone can take part. There are 20 events in total.
In addition, there will be a separate entertainment programme, including a Beer Pong tournament on Friday evening and a style party on Saturday.
The aim of the Games is to provide participants with a sporting and relaxing entertainment programme in winter. Popularise both collective and individual sporting activities among the student population.
The Summer Games are the largest and unique sports and entertainment event for students in Estonia, held at the Kääriku Sports Centre. Over the course of three days, students are put to the test in 40 different sports.
The event will include a traditional women's mud wrestling and many other exciting events. Two exciting party evenings await the keen sports fans.
The Tartu Student Days is a week-long festival of student spirit, offering both participants and spectators a chance to relax and create memories to last a lifetime with a packed cultural programme. The Student Days take place twice a year, in spring and autumn, and offer students plenty of entertainment in between their studies.
