Communications committee

The work of the communication committee is the internal and external communication of the student union. Our committee is responsible for Facebook and Instagram posts in order to convey information to our followers. We try to convey all the events as awesome as they really are, but often it’s still much cooler on the spot! We also have the website in our administration. In addition, we prepare a newsletter for students every two week, be sure to take a look! In addition, we prepare various posters, posters and videos if necessary. We are the intermediary for the transfer of information between the university and the students.

Culture committee

The main task of the culture committee is to organize memorable events for EMÜ students, which also extend beyond the University of Life Sciences. Traditional events are Halloween, the student ball, the organization of cider and beer orientation as part of Tartu’s student days, and a selection of other events for every taste. We cooperate with several EMÜ clubs and companies operating in various fields. Our goal is to reach as many students as possible and make their university life more colorful so that they have something to remember when their old!

Education and social committee

The vision of the education committee is to create an inclusive and supportive environment for students for self-development. We want the university experience to be meaningful and challenging, to be a period of life when you find friends, experiment boldly and inspire each other. It is these ideas and people that can ultimately change the world. Within this framework, we also organize workshops, the event of which is to support coping at the university. We also pay attention to the development of the community by trying a feedback system so that the concerns and joys of students are not overlooked, which would develop a sense of unity and communication between institutes. We use the potential of our small microcosmos to together create a university in which we would have the pleasure and honor to study.

Buddy coordinator

Buddy coordinator cooperates with EMÜ buddies, International Office and Student Union. The Buddy program deals with ERASMUS and international students that come to study in Estonian University of Life Sciences. We organize different events for them to introduce our school, Estonian culture and to help them adapt. For example we organize meetup evenings, hikes, trips and boardgame nights. My goal is to make the life of foreign students as nice, exciting and easy as possible!
