Society of Technical Students
Founded on 28 January 2009, the Engineering Students’ Association offers its members exciting challenges and valuable practical experience through engineering projects.
The Association is mainly made up of students from the Institute of Forestry and Engineering, but students from all disciplines are welcome to participate. Our aim is to create an environment where students’ ideas can come to life – no matter how big or small the project.
The Engineering Students’ Association wants to be a platform for young engineers to stand out in the future with their knowledge, experience and skills.
Our members are involved in a wide range of interesting projects, from building racing robots and compressed air moulds to developing racing simulators. Such endeavours provide members with valuable skills and experience. Thanks to active and dedicated members, we have also achieved success and recognition in international competitions, such as the Aventics Compressed Air Vehicle Competition.
Achievements of our members:
- Winners of the Estonian Engineering Student of the Year award (2014 and 2016).
- International competition winners
In addition, we are actively involved with a wide range of companies and professional associations to strengthen cooperation and successfully implement various projects.
Activities of the Association of Engineering Students:
- Participation in the Ahhaa Robot Battle competition.
- A Rally of Manners
- Industrial and educational fairs.
- Visits to manufacturing companies
- Motorsport and hobby car projects
Our members also have access to the tools and equipment of the Institute of Technology, which allows them to carry out their projects even better.
The Society’s premises are located on the 0 floor of the Technical House – A008

Student Society Taurus
The Association of Civil Engineering Students (ETS) is an association of civil engineering and water management students, founded on 26 August 1998. The members of ETS are students, alumni, lecturers and other interested parties. The aim of the association is the professional development and representation of civil engineering students in their relations with universities, construction companies and other organisations. We also consider it important to establish long-term friendships that help young professionals to integrate into the world of work and to build up trustworthy contacts in order to set and achieve their professional goals.
In the past, we have visited construction sites several times a year, held meetings several times a month, never missed a drunk, organised film nights, never missed a construction trade fair, and organised specialist lectures to keep young people up to date with world affairs. We are now trying to revive all the old traditions and stick to them.
